If you have a chronic disease, that is a medical condition for greater than 6 months, you may be eligible for a Medicare enhanced primary care plan.
Some common general disease examples include Asthma, High blood pressure, Heart disease, Diabetes Mellitus, Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Degenerative Disease, Stroke and Cancer
Some common musculoskeletal examples include Joint pain, Back Pain, Disc protrusion, Canal stenosis, Sciatica, Migraines, Headaches, Spinal Degeneration, Osteoarthritis and Post-surgical Rehabilitation
A care plan needs to be completed by your regular G.P (General Practitioner). They will determine if you fit the criteria required & recommend the treatment that you would most likely benefit from.
Your G.P may also want you to visit a specialist or do a combination of treatment such as Physiotherapy or Podiatry along with the Chiropractic treatment.
Please note that you can only have a TOTAL of 5 treatments of Allied Health in a calendar year. For example, you may have 4 Chiropractic sessions & 1 Physiotherapy session, equalling 5 is the most you can have in a year under Medicare.
YOU MUST HAVE A CAREPLAN BEFORE YOU START CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT IF YOU INTEND TO HAVE IT BULK BILLED.
Please note on the initial appointment there is a small co-payment with an EPC referral, as it is a 30 minute appointment . All follow up visits are bulk billed & thus there is no ongoing out of pocket expense for you. Some conditions will require some further treatment & you can continue treatment privately if you wish.
We also provide a medical letter to the doctor at the start & at the conclusion of the treatment. Please contact our clinics if you require further information on 9303-9952 (Roxburgh Park) or 9746-3977 (Sunbury) or email@example.com
